Blackfriars Thameslink Project - Temporary Rail Bridge
Concept, detailed design, fabrication and erection support of a temporary rail bridge (TRB) that allowed offsite prefabrication to be maximised, with the facility to pre-install permanent way infrastructure, to meet the tight erection programme imposed by railway possession constraints.
Subsequent to installation the Client requested the TRB to be modified to support an existing signal. A tie arrangement to an existing rib arch was designed to limit this movement to an acceptable level, but avoid additional train loading on the rib arch itself.
