Dewan Bahasa Viaduct Detailed Design
We undertook detailed design of the complex half-joint segments for these two 1.55 km precast viaducts as part of a project to improve traffic flow on Golden Triangle Area in Kuala Lumpur City Centre under “Rancangan Malaysia ke-9”.
The viaducts were designed to be completely integral with all the pier columns, with deck expansion accommodated at half joints. This type of bridge is the first in Malaysia.
The solid FE analysis that was undertaken allowed efficient design of the prestressing and bar reinforcement and thus improved buildability.
